Two Photos Comparison

Two Photos Comparison

These two photos I thought were definitely the best ones and they are at different angles slightly. The top one is at an even 180 degree angle where I have the camera focused right in on it and blurred out the background which I think makes for an even better picture. From this angle, you can really see many of the features of the tomato and although unappetizing from a hunger standpoint, really has a photogenic look. The perspective of this photo just screams, "come and eat me!" (They really don't taste good at all)

This picture I took from well below where the tomato is, I was actually sitting on the floor to take this picture. I think it makes the photo look that much better when taking it from an uncommon angle, like below the object. I really like the roundness all over this tomato and the camera captures that very nicely. I like this second photo the best because of the placement and angle of the shot, coupled with the blurred out background. The perspective of this picture really outlines the "beauty" (or weirdness) of this cool looking tomato.

  1. Excellent work on both parts of the assignment. It looks like you are using your flash. Try taking a few photos without the flash on and see if you can get enough light from the windows or the interior lights or both.

  2. It's beautiful tomato! I like how you took the shot from below, completely changing the lighting.

  3. Wow! Look at that color on the tomato. Who knew a tomato could be so intriguing! Great photos with some great light.

  4. I like how you used something natural but unique. You didn't pick the perfect tomato, you picked the one that was different and thats what makes the photo so interesting. One this I recommend is using a different dish next time, it was a little distracting for me when I wanted to me focusing on the tomato. I love the angle in the second picture, it almost makes me feel like a child looking up at the counter.

  5. The first photo there, straight-on with it sitting on the plate, makes the tomato just look so beastly. It brings out the plumpness!

  6. Nice looking tomato! I like that first photo a lot (though I agree that the dish pattern was a bit distracting in some of the photos).
