For this weeks pictures, I sought out my mother's beautiful garden. I don't know the names of many of these plants, but I do know they make for a great picture up close. There are a few that aren't quite perfect but I'm still getting to know my camera and I really enjoyed getting out and taking some nice shots. I wanted to get a good look at the texture up close on many of these as well and they came out wonderfully. I really liked this collage set up as well, I think it was the frame mosaic collage. Some of the pictures in the corners are a bit small but I think they all fit well together. I'm curious, which of the pictures in the collage is your favorite one?

Great job on your collage! Did you do this in Google Photos or a different program? I couldn't get all my images in one collage.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo is of the purple flower down in the left corner. Purple is my favorite color, but I also like how you captured the darker purple veins in the middle of the flower. I also like how it looks like there's a black hole in the middle.
Great job!

I did this on Picasa 3, great program. I downloaded it from the link Kevin sent to us in the beginning of the semester.
DeleteI like how you cropped the photos, it gives the actual subject a whole different look. The one of the poppy last row, third one is is really good.
ReplyDeleteI love your collage. The software I used didn't allow larger collages so I used multiple small ones to make sure that I got most of the detail I captured. I love taking pictures of flowers and I also took some for this assignment. The way your organized them makes each photo stand out on its own. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job. I still don't know many of the plants in my garden. The colors are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a wonderful time of year to take photos, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI like the fractal nature of the layout, with photos getting smaller as you head towards the upper corners. With all the colors it's kaleidoscopic!
My favorite of the individual photos is the single poppy silhouetted against the sky.

The color on these photos are incredible! Looks like it was a beautiful day :) The structure of the collage is really cool. You really balanced the color and types of flowers out just enough so it didn't look too crowded in areas. I am obsessed with the purple photo in the bottom left corner (second from the bottom).
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures as I love flowers!! We have a huge flower bed in front of our house and a bunch of other little areas with flowers everywhere. They are so pretty this time of year and most in full bloom! I really like the purple one in the bottom left corner (as I can see a few others do too!) I couldn't get all my photos in one collage as Google doesn't allow more then 9 photos so I had to do a couple collages to show all of them
ReplyDeleteI love how the colors of the flowers all compliment each other! I also liked how you chose one focal picture and then arranged them around it. My collage was also of flowers and a few other things around the yard, but I was kind of disappointed that not all the flowers had bloomed, so it limited my selection a little.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful photographs! Summer has got to be the best time to take photographs in Vermont. All of the textures and colors seem endless. I hope you had a chance to play around with these and explore how photographs look together in different arrangements. Great work!
